Owning or renting a home and raising a family in Fort Bend County should never be out of reach for hard working people. As commissioner I will:

• Work collaboratively with Commissioners Court to set responsible tax rates that push back on unnecessary increases while continuing to fund vital investments like public safety, healthcare, and education.

• Fight for fair wages for all county workers to keep up with the cost of living so services remain strong without high turnover.

• Work with unions, community colleges, and employers to make sure students can graduate with skills that lead to real jobs and real paychecks.

• Focus on attracting and growing businesses right here in Fort Bend County—expanding the commercial tax base, creating good-paying jobs, and easing the pressure on residential taxpayers without cutting essential services.

Investing in mobility, roads, and infrastructure is how communities grow stronger, families gain time back, and local economies thrive. As County Commissioner I will:

• Prioritize road resurfacing, drainage improvements, and bridge repairs, ensuring our roads are in good condition so families aren’t paying out of pocket for car damage caused by neglect.

• Use traffic data to prioritize projects that deliver the biggest time savings and measure success by reduced commute times, not just miles of pavement.

• Design roads to handle future growth so families are not stuck in traffic five years from now.

• Make sure new roads, developments, and transit work together to make sure public transportation is reliable, accessible, and useful for working families across all our communities, not just those in newly established neighborhoods.

Safe communities attract jobs, support strong schools, and create the conditions where families and small businesses can thrive. As County Commissioner I will:

• Collaborate with law enforcement and service providers to support “smart on crime” investments to reduce the revolving door of jails by addressing the root causes of crime like mental health disorders and drug addiction.

• Push for data-driven decision-making and collaboration between courts, law enforcement, and service providers to reduce the revolving door of the jail while keeping violent offenders off our streets.

• Fight blight in neighborhoods by removing abandoned buildings, illegal dumping sites, and neglected properties that serve as magnets for crime and undermine neighborhood safety.

• Invest in improved lighting, better sidewalks and parks to deter crime, increase visibility, and build trust between residents and local government.

A strong education is essential to Fort Bend’s economic future, helping families thrive and businesses find the skilled workforce they need. As County Commissioner I will:

• Work collaboratively to expand access to early childhood and pre-K programs and support increased access to affordable childcare so working parents can stay employed and children can start school ready to learn.

• Invest in safe routes to school, including sidewalks, crosswalks, traffic control, and mobility improvements that protect students, parents, and educators traveling to and from campuses.

• Oppose right-wing extreme efforts that undermine our schools—whether through censorship, attacks on science-based learning, or policies that weaken public education and local control.
